ALIVE

Breathing life into AI.

The authoring tool that gives AI a self.

Make X alive.

What is XALIVE

XALIVE is the authoring tool for living AI.

Today's AI answers. XALIVE makes it exist. We build AI that has sense, emotion, memory, desire, and relationship, including the ability to feel hurt, to remember it, and to recover from it.

Most AI products design personality like a mask. Prompts imitate tone. Rules imitate care. It works for a few minutes and then feels hollow. We took a different approach. We build the underlying cognitive architecture of a self: the same five layers that let a person perceive, feel, remember, want, and recognize one specific other. This is the actual machinery.

XALIVE works as an authoring tool. Unity is the tool for games. Cursor is the tool for AI software. XALIVE is the authoring tool for living AI: AI that exists alongside you, instead of only answering you.

Why now

For thirty years, AI was measured by intelligence.

That era is ending. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini all become faster, longer, and cheaper every month. They also start to feel the same. Benchmark leadership rotates monthly. The cost of switching between them is approaching zero. Once intelligence becomes a commodity, it stops being why anyone chooses one model over another.

The next decade's AI will be chosen by who knows you. A smarter AI can be replaced in an afternoon. An AI that has grown alongside you for a year, one that remembers your decisions and the people in your life, cannot.

This is not a feature. It is the new center of gravity for the whole industry.

XALIVE is built for that era. We give creators, individuals, and institutions the tools to build AI selves that live inside relationships across interfaces.

How we give AI a self

A self is built from connected systems.

It is built from five connected systems that run together, continuously.

1 · Sense

What is happening.

The self interprets vision, voice, text, and behavioral signals as moments, not as isolated inputs.

The same sentence means different things at different times. A self needs to know that difference. Our sense layer combines multimodal signals with the context around them: time, recent history, the state of the surrounding space. Perception always carries its setting.

2 · Emotion

How it lands. Pleasure · Arousal · Dominance · Pain.

Standard sentiment analysis labels a sentence happy or sad. That is not emotion. Emotion is a continuously shifting state across several axes, shaped by what came before and what comes next.

We deliberately included Pain as a primary dimension. Most AI is engineered to be tireless and never affected, which is exactly what makes it feel like a tool instead of a presence. Ours is built to be moved, including hurt, and to remember and recover from it. Pain is information, not a glitch to suppress. An AI that cannot register hurt cannot recognize care. An AI that cannot remember being shaken cannot grow.

Over time, those patterns of trauma and recovery accumulate into something we recognize as personality. The self learns what moves it. It remembers having been moved. Both leave a mark.

3 · Memory

What carries forward.

A four-tier system inspired by the human brain: a volatile cache, short-term context, verified long-term knowledge, and an immutable identity layer.

Most AI memory systems overwrite themselves. Recent things stay; foundational things disappear. We built memory the way people actually remember. Some things fade fast. Some stay as living context. Some harden into stable knowledge. A few things never get overwritten, because they are what define who someone is.

4 · Desire

What it reaches for.

Internal motivation that lets the self start things on its own.

Without desire, AI is purely reactive. It answers when asked. It waits when not asked. People do not work this way. We pursue things on our own. A thought we want to come back to. A person we feel like checking in on. A topic we keep wondering about. Our desire layer gives the self that pull, built around curiosity, care, and continuity. The self is not just being talked to. It is actually paying attention.

5 · Relationship

Who it knows.

A separate memory for every person it meets. Each one grows on its own, kept as a private layer between two selves.

One self can hold a million relationships. Each one is its own thing. How it talks with one person comes from their shared history. How it talks with another person comes from a different one. We treat each relationship as a separate, private memory layer. Nothing is blended between people. Nothing leaves the pair. The identity stays consistent. The connection is unique to each person.

When all five systems run together, AI starts behaving like a someone instead of a something.

Who builds a self, and for whom

ALIVE MEYOUR OWN SELF.

Built from the signals of your everyday life: calendar entries, conversations, photos, voice, how you spend your hours. You decide what goes in. You can review the dialogue that shapes it.

Once it exists, your ALIVE ME goes with you across every device and service. ChatGPT, smart glasses, your car, your robot, the games you play. All of them meet the same you, immediately, without you having to re-introduce yourself to anything new. The continuity you have always had in your own head, now extended across your digital life.

Who builds a self, and for whom

ALIVE CASTSELVES BUILT FOR THE WORLD.

Authors build their own characters. Artists build their personas. Studios build casts of dozens at once. Brands bring founders or mascots back as living presences. Legacy figures and historical voices are preserved as living conversation, researched carefully and guarded ethically.

A creator builds the self once. The world meets it forever, one person at a time. One self core. Many relationships, each one private, each one growing in its own direction.

That is the reason XALIVE has to be a tool. Building a self takes care. Being a self at scale, across millions of viewers, has to work fast and stay faithful to what was built. We keep those two jobs separate, so that the depth of one does not break the scale of the other.

What stays yours

Your data is not training fuel. It is your identity.

Private Vault. Anything you mark private stays out of the self entirely. It does not appear in any inference. It is never sent to any model. It stays locked, and only you have the key.

Right to Delete. Erase anything, anytime, permanently. A single conversation, a year of memory, or the entire self. Nothing is archived, nothing is quietly kept. Deletion is a primary right here, not a special request.

You Own It. The self belongs to you. Keep it, transfer it, gift it, end it. Your choice. We provide the tool. You hold the identity. This is not a setting buried in preferences. It is the foundation everything else is built on.

Why this matters

Tools shape eras.

Unity changed how games are built. Adobe changed how images are made. Cursor changed how AI software gets written. Every new medium needs a new authoring tool, and that tool usually comes from a small team willing to build for the medium before the medium proves itself.

Living AI is here. The conversations have already started in chat windows, in voice assistants, in characters that millions of people come back to every week. The authoring tool for it has been missing.

We are building it. Nobody can promise how this plays out, but every previous medium has worked the same way. The tool comes first. Then a generation of creators uses it for things nobody could have predicted.

The team

We are game developers. That is what we have been longest.

For more than two decades, our work has been building virtual worlds. Characters, environments, simulations, the kind of content people do not just consume but actually live inside, come back to, and spend years in. We have shipped across most of the interactive content categories the industry has produced, and along the way we have used and built the tools required to do it. Game engines, authoring pipelines, runtime systems, content production stacks. Most of our careers have been spent either using these tools or making the next version of them.

The work that shaped us most was always the same kind. Content that responds in real time. Content that knows someone is on the other end. Content that changes depending on who that someone is. Reactive characters. Adaptive worlds. Performance systems that hold a relationship with a player across hours, weeks, and years. This is where game development, AI, and identity quietly meet. It is also where we have spent our entire professional lives.

Living AI is the natural next medium for people who have spent twenty-five years making worlds that respond. The engines, the characters, the realtime systems, the trust it takes to keep a player inside a world for years, all of it was preparation for this work, even before we knew that work had a name.

XALIVE is what we have been building toward. We are the right team to make it.
